THE ANNUAL WILLEM C. VIS INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL ARBITRATION MOOT

The purpose of the Vis Moot is to support the study of the students on the international commercial law and arbitration. The language of the moot is English and competition has two stages. In the first stage, the teams analyses the Moot problem and write memoranda for claimant and respondent. The second stage is the pleading of oral arguments based on the memoranda at the general rounds which are held in Vienna (or for the last two years online) in March-April.

It is organized by the Association for the Organization and Promotion of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Verein zur Veranstaltung und Förderung des Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot) and sponsored by organizations such as Pace University, Queen Mary (University of London), Stockholm University, University of Vienna, Austrian Arbitration Association, Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Moot Alumni Association, and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law.
