12th Istanbul Pre-Moot

The 12th Istanbul Pre-Moot, organized by BİLGİ Law Faculty with the support of Paksoy was held between 9 and 11 February 2024 in preparation for the oral rounds of the 31st Willem C. Vis Commercial Arbitration Moot and the 21st Willem C. Vis (East) Commercial Arbitration Moot.

The Istanbul Pre-Moot, which is organized annually and has celebrated its 12th anniversary this year, aims to prepare students who will participate in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot’s goal is to raise the future’s leading lawyers resorting to alternative dispute resolution methods. Students participating in the Moot have the opportunity to work on a hypothetical dispute and to enhance their knowledge on international commercial law and international commercial arbitration.

Students competing in teams representing law faculties in different countries from all around the world gain first-hand experience on how an attorney handles a dispute on international commercial law through arbitration by applying their skills on a concrete case.
